Skii Landscape Architecture has created many successful and award-winning landscape architecture projects throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma. We specialize in the development of everything outside your back door. From custom one of a kind swimming pools to garden architecture and everything in between.
Our goal is to give you a design from which, with collaboration with
us, allows your ideas and your needs to come to fruition as a realization of what your space can become for your family to grow in. We want to extend your living space to your very own private outdoor oasis, however big or small.
As members of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and as
Registered Landscape Architects, we develop all the significant construction detailing your project needs in order to stand the test of time. These include hardscape and layout plans, grading plans, lighting plans, and of course planting plans. We are an elite design firm that will elevate your project and give you something to be proud of for years to come as well as create a valuable tangible asset in your home's surrounding landscape.
In 1990 Candace Dillingham began her freshman year at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She entered the School of Architecture seeking a degree in Landscape Architecture. Within the first semester of her studies she became hooked, and remained emersed in the five year program, getting the most out of her college career. She entered a contest (and won) the opportunity to study abroad for a summer in the Czech Republic, expanding her exposure to the elements of design in architecture and landscape architecture, enhancing her desire and thirst for her chosen field of work.
Immediately following graduation, from 1995-97 Candace practiced landscape architecture in Little Rock within a large multi-disciplinary firm. Her professional experience included design of parks, sports complexes, and multi-building hospitals and medical institutes. In 1997 she moved to Tulsa and worked under a variety of firms, ultimately deciding residential landscape architecture was her utmost passion. It was her strength as a people person, artist, and landscape architect that led her calling to build intimate collaborations/connections with the homeowners and clients, knowing that she possessed the capability and vision to provide them exactly what they were seeking.
In the year 2000, Candace established Skii Landscape Architecture. Since then, she has designed over 375 outdoor spaces (and counting). Her expertise is paying great attention to detail and customizing every design to the site and to the personality of her client.
According to Candace, “This is primarily achieved with good communication and interaction, and by truly digging into an understanding of the wants and needs of the client, who they are, their lifestyle, family dynamic, future goals, and how that relates to the space(s) they are wanting to create, then pulling those elements and information together and combining that with the experience of what works in both a practical and artistic fashion in order to give them the perfect personalized space.”
She has stayed true to that philosophy, and has proven its success by sustaining Skii Landscape Architecture for 21 years now. Since its founding, Candace has continued to design luxury landscapes for residences, communities, churches, restaurants, and beyond.
In addition to her dedication to landscape architecture, Candace also serves on the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architecture, serving on the Scholarship Committee as well as holding title as Social Chairperson for the state landscape architects. Her most prestigious title is President Elect for Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society of the Landscape Architects, and will begin serving as President of the State Chapter in 2022.
Her works have been published in national magazines 8 times (and counting!) and was recently recognized as an OKASLA Merit Award winner in 2019 for her design of a residence in Tulsa.
“For every project, Skii vigilantly adheres to the guiding principle that a landscape should respond to its adjacent architecture, its social and natural histories, as well as the users of the space.”
